When the Fairytale Ends.

And they lived happily ever after....

or so she thought would happen, for a while it was so good. He adored her, made her feel so special, like a princess. He said all the right words. She had never felt that before and she wanted to make him so happy. So often she would put aside her own wants, needs, and feelings to earn the crown that was bestowed upon her, to do her royal duty. Looking back she could feel it slipping away, and saw how she worked even harder, then one day seemingly out of the blue, it all came crashing down. He had made a mistake... and couldn't stand the thought of being with her, she didn't measure up... there had to be someone better out there. She lost it all ... she wasn't good enough ... she had failed.

And sitting there back in rags and squalor... she wonders if all fairytales end this way .
